About the TOEFL iBT
The TOEFL iBT means 'Test of English as a Foreign Language internet-based test'. It is the most widely recognized English assessment test in the world. The TOEFL measures your ability to communicate in English and is accepted by over 6000 institutions in more than 130 countries.
How it Works
The iBT is a test that evaluates your ability to use and comprehend English. It also evaluates your ability to combine the different skills of listening, speaking, writing, and reading to perform academic tasks set out at the university. The TOEFL PBT does not have the speaking section but instead consists of grammar, reading, and listening.
The TOEFL iBT score rangers from 0 - 120. Each section (Writing, Speaking, Reading, and Listening) is graded independently and each section has a score ranging from 0 -30. To find the overall (or composite) score, the four individual scores are combined to generate your score from 0 - 120.
